Permanent Marker is an elite modern cultivar bred by Seed Junky Genetics’ JBeezy and selected by Doja
Pak. Its celebrated lineage brings together Biscotti, Sherb and Jealousy genetics, producing dense,
heavily frosted flowers with striking green-to-purple colouration and vivid orange pistils.
The terpene profile is unmistakably loud: sweet candy and floral/soapy notes meet creamy funk and
penetrating gas, finishing with the distinctive solvent-like character that inspired the Permanent Marker
name. Its combination of bag appeal, resin production and powerful aroma helped make Permanent
Marker one of the defining North American cultivars of its generation and Leafly’s 2023 Strain of the Year.

Permanent Marker is generally described as vigorous and branchy with dense foliage and resin-heavy
flowers. Good airflow and humidity management are especially useful as the canopy fills in. Published
grow references commonly place flowering around 8–10 weeks, although actual finish time and yield
depend on environment and cultivation style.
